WELCOME

First of all we would like, on behalf of the Committee to say a big thank you to our regular members for their continuous support (what would we do without you all) and our appreciation and thanks goes to all the members who took an active part in our earlier production in January. We also give a big welcome to those who have not been with us before. I am sure you will find a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.

DID YOU KNOW?

We are expecting a beautiful girl to be in our Community Centre in January 2010. At least we hope so, but you will have to move quickly to see her to talk to, otherwise she may be asleep, because it is said that she is going to sleep for 100 years.

As usual at this time of year, we are on the right side of the auditions and after a busy weekend with a good attendance and a high standard to choose from, we now have a full cast for “Sleeping Beauty” (our next production). First rehearsals for the whole Cast start early September, and a full schedule, along with your welcome letter, was in your "Congratulations" envelope. The date of the production is the 10th – 16th January 2010.

DIRECTOR

This year we welcome back Cecil Walker, who has been our "stage boss" many times before – a devil for punishment, aren't you Cecil?

CHOREOGRAPHER

This will be Fiona O'Connor, Cecil's daughter, who has worked with him before on some of our other productions. Welcome back Fiona.

At the end of June, Fiona had a daughter who they have named Yazmin Paige. Congratulations go to her and her husband, Kris, from all "The Group". We are looking forward to seeing the new arrival.

MUSICAL DIRECTOR

A warm welcome back to Jonathon Brigg. He is the young musician who joined us for the latter rehearsals and the production of Hansel & Gretel and must have enjoyed himself as he wants to come back as our MD, even though he is now living in Yorkshire.

STAGE MANAGER

We are pleased to welcome back Ian Champion. Ian was our stage manager for many of our productions in the late 90s.

The Cast this time numbers about 42, so we can't list all those names. However, we would like to say congratulations to them for having come through their auditions and being successful. Condolences go to those who were not chosen this time. Please remember, there is always the chance to try again next year. Just keep on practising your art.

A number of our members have already stated they are willing to resume their usual role "behind the scenes" for our next production, This is a big help and our thanks go to those people. If anyone would like to offer their services or has a friend who would like to join us, please do not hesitate to let us know. We always welcome new friends.

We are sure you will have read this so often in these Newsletters but if you have an E Mail address we would appreciate you passing details onto Ray at :chairman@frodshampanto.org.uk or drrayh.raysplace@btinternet.com .

If you have anything or any news you may think would be of interest to our members please do not hesitate in sending it to us! We always welcome any input from our members.

May we remind you to visit our web site:www.frodshampanto.org.uk
